When does your line perform most efficiently? When able to operate continuously and with few process changes – i.e. by avoiding start/stop situations. We have all line units communicate with the conveyors and use this information to perfectly balance the speed and accumulation levels of the units in the line. That’s our job — and we’re good at it. The result is a highly efficient line with a maximum production level.
We believe in a strong design as the best way to guarantee production stability and a long service life. Our conveyors are assembled in our workshop by our own staff. We use components from major manufacturers. This results in high reliability and operational safety combined with low maintenance costs.
The controls are the essence of optimal performance (alongside line and mechanical design). The expertise of our automation engineers is essential to assuring this. We also believe that line software is an asset shared with the customer, so Legendre makes EVERYTHING accessible to the customer. There is no black box. Legendre Conveyors carries out projects around the world. This is usually at the request of our customers who, for example, not only have a facility in Belgium, the Netherlands or France, but also a factory outside of Europe.

Our DNA in a nutshell
It all began back in 1948 when Jules Legendre established his company in the Anderlecht municipality of Brussels in Belgium. Since then, Legendre has been acquiring knowledge and experience with conveyors. When his son Norbert Legendre took over the helm in 1976, Legendre was the exclusive representative of Ortman + Herbst and Kettner in the Benelux region. Under his management, Legendre acquired expertise and an excellent reputation in the beverage industry for building and managing complete conveyor systems. Since 2006, the company motto of ‘We Convey – You Relax’ has guaranteed the skills and expertise of its experienced and committee employees. This is done under the name Legendre Conveyors sa/nv and, as always, from the Brussels region. In 2013, Legendre Conveyors sa/nv acquired the company Packaging Creative Systems, thereby strengthening its core activities. The third generation? It’s made up of Mathieu and Olivier Legendre. They’ve been at the helm since 2018. They’re proud that they’re continuing to write the history of the company and make even more clients happy. At the beginning of 2021, Legendre Conveyors integrated the Actemium network – within the ‘Industry & Software Solutions’ division of VINCI Energies Belgium. Legendre Conveyors continues to operate from the site in Groot-Bijgaarden as an autonomous brand and business unit, under the family leadership of Mathieu and Olivier. Our philosophy and added value are stronger than ever: We Convey – You Relax.
